Whispers

Whispers -- a forward mail

The man whispered , 'God , speak to me' and a meadowlark sang.
But , the man did not hear.

So the man yelled , 'God , speak to me' and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But , the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said , 'God let me see you.' And a star shone brightly.
But the man did not see.

And , the man shouted , 'God show me a miracle.' And , a life was born.
But , the man did not notice.

So , the man cried out in despair , 'Touch me God , and let me know you are here.' Whereupon , God reached down and touched the man. But , the man brushed the butterfly away .
and walked on.

I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted ... even in our electronic age So I would like to add one more: The man cried , 'God , I need your help!' And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement.

But , the man deleted it and continued crying .

Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect. My instructions were to send this to people that I wanted God to bless , and I picked you. Won't you please pass this to people you want to be blessed. Expect the unexpected.....Have A Great Day!

…..a painter loves to draw nude portraits….we are human beings, we make mistakesbut if we are right we will be protected by the judicial system….never do wrong or injustice to anyone and you will be on top of the world.…I believe there is only one religion, which is Humanity. Respect human life, it is too precious to waste.

Ants duty is to work 24x7...water's urge is to fill up all the ant holes. Nobody can help, that's the way people too put hurdles on the path of hardworkers.

Cohesion

"How to combine that degree of individual initiative which is necessary for progress, with the degree of social cohesion which is necessary for survival."

Don't jump to conclusions. Respect the feelings of other fellow citizens. You can't demand respect. So, "Only seek peace through action instead of reacting and responding to rotten brains...(because) a lamp is made only to burn and it must keep on burning. Its pursuit is its reward."

Smart

Smartness is good, but oversmartness irritates others-----

"The modern-minded man, although he believes profoundly in the wisdom of his period, must be presumed to be very modest about his personal powers.

"His highest hope is to think first what is about to be thought, to say what is about to be said, and to feel what is about to be felt; he has no wish to think better thoughts than his neighbours, to say things showing more insight, or to have emotions which are not those of some fashionable group, but only to be slightly ahead of others in point of time.

"Quite deliberately he suppresses what is individual in himself for the sake of the admiration of the herd.....what is the use of an eccentric opinion."

Justice

Can we expect justice ? Can we overcome castism, communalism and parochialism ?

"What a commentary is this upon human justice ! What sad prominence it gives to our human disposition to tyrannise over the weak !"

Okay

Why am I so angry, so frightened and so sad ?

I searched a lot; but could not find any satisfactory answers.

Can we get any answer from the following observations made by a great author ?

"....Enlarging (positive) objects of thoughts (can work) as antidote to the anxieties and anguish of the present, and makes possible the nearest approach to serenity that is available to a sensitive mind in our tortured and uncertain world."

Peace

"After ages during which the earth produced harmless trilobites and butterflies, evolution progressed to the point at which it generated Neros, Genghis Khans, and Hitlers. This, however, is a passing nightmare; in time the earth will become again incapable of supporting life, and peace will return."

World

Your hunger should be motivation for your success;

Your desire should be fodder for your growth;

Your impulse should be incentive for your aim;

Your persuation should be your provocation;

Your reason should be your push for work;

Your urge for knowledge should be your stiumulous.

These are the words which give comfort in unruly areas. There is nothing like putting one’s emotions in words. Enjoy how words rushing through your pen to help you out from this present state of turmoil that has been afflicting the society.

Still, you should work for the country with a nationalistic feeling and thinking at the same time for universal brotherhood.

Don’t afraid of people who don’t know their existence, but only know how to look for food----which even a bug, bird and beast do.

People take false pride in singing paeans of Lal, Bal, Pal and Gandhiji. In reality, they are cashing in on the images of these great patriots.

One can't but feel ashamed, pity and angry at those who don’t know how to lead the people...as this his world is not for sensible people, who, anyway, have taken a back seat, leaving people like .... ..... ........ , who have left things in a mess.

A place where respect and affection are equated with a strainer, you can’t expect much. Hooray !

Lawless

Staying in a lawless state is equivalent to stay in a state of mourning eternally. This reminds us to the famous quote ----

"If indeed you must be candid, be candid beautifully; otherwise keep silent, for there is a man in our neighbourhood who is dying."

Hair cut

Employer: Shyam, why did you get your hair cut during office hours?

Shyam: It grew during office hours sir.

Employer: You mean to say all that hair ?

Shyam: I didn't cut all of it sir.

Police

"The police should not depend on media to get their intelligence inputs. Instead the police should inform the media about happenings in their command area.

Inspirational Guru

A person told me that one of his detractors had been trying to dislodge him from his chair to occupy it with unethical means.

I suggested him to read a book written by an inspirational guru.

Following are some exerpts from that book;

"Change Fear into Excitement

Worry into Wonder

Expectation into Anticipation

Resistance into Acceptance

Disappointment into Detachment

Enrangement into Engagement,

Addiction into Preference

Requirement into Contentment

Judgment into Observation

Sadness into Happiness

Thought into Presence

Reaction into Response

and

Time of Turmoil into a Time of Peace' ---Hooray !

Employees

Stop breaking heads teaching pig-headed employees. They can't learn even if your head cracks. Take consolation from the following line and stay cool.

"Pity that the stags cannot teach swiftness to the turtles."

Conscience

"It is easier to cope with a bad conscience than with a bad reputation."

Gandhiji

We are operating in a dog-eat-dog world which Gandhiji never approved.
