Tennis player Ana Ivanovic's observation on present day competition is not only apt on the Tennis court but also in other spheres of life.
"There is really not much friendship between the girls on tour. There's so much rivalry and jealousy, so everyone just hangs out in their own camp. In the Locker room and players' lounge you can feel the jealousy.
"It's a shame, because it would be so nice if we could catch up over dinner or go shopping. But, sadly, I have no close friends on the tour," observed the Tennis star.
Ivanovic can take a famous quote of Mahatma Gandhi and try to spread among her Tennis fraternity.

Team spirit
Team Work should be the catch phrase for every one, for without it nothing can be achieved and drives the team leader to nuts instead.
A football match can be a good illustration on how team spirit works or mars the result.
A striker dishes out a pass to his teammate and changes position in the rival territory anticipating the ball back at his chosen spot.
If he does not get the ball at the desired place frustration overwhelms him and he starts playing erratically, leaving the entire team in doldrums.

What a thought !
"One day Mahatma Gandhi was boarding a train when one of his shoes slipped off and fell on the track. The Mahatma was unable to retrieve it as the train started moving.
Gandhi took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first, much to the astonisment of fellow passengers.
A fellow passenger asked him why he did so, a smiling Gandhi said 'the poor man who finds the shoe lying on the track will now have a pair of shoes he can use'."

Friendship
I got the following from a friend and would like to share with my readers. Actually few people understand such sentiments, particularly from where I am currently based.
What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt?
So, I just wanted to say, even if I never talk to you again in my life, you are special to me and you have made a difference in my life.
I look up to you, respect you, and truly cherish you.
Send this to all your friends, no matter how often you talk, or how close you are, and send it to the person who sent it to you.
Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will.
Remember, everyone needs a friend; some day you might feel like you have NO FRIENDS at all, just remember this e-mail and take comfort in knowing somebody out there cares about you and always will.

Once I praised a novice that he had potential to become a talented in his profession----lo ! from that day he felt like being on cloud nine, and started boasting among his fellow colleagues.

Decode
Strange people sometimes speak strange things. And today I had a strange feeling after meeting certain persons and listenting to their views, opinions and soloutions.
I cannot name them nor am I inclined to tell what they had to say on matters pertaining to certain people. But I can throw some light through picking up some quotes from a famous book.
"How about I allow the world to live as it chooses, and I allow me to live as I choose...You are already free....imagine that it is already there...I do not exist to impress the world. I exist to live my life in a way that will make me happy.
"I want to be loved. I am kind, I do unto others as I would have them do unto me, but still I don't have any friends and I am alone.
"I can't find lasting friends when I am an unlasting one myself...Just be who you are, calm and clear and bright...Think and grow rich...mile a minute is too fast for new ideas."
"A magnet is not anxious about how it works. It is itself, and by its nature it draws some things and leaves others untouched.

Adrenaline
The dictionary meaning of Adrenaline is a substance produced in the body when you are excited, afraid or angry.
It makes the heart beat faster and increases one’s energy and ability to move quickly in whatever situation, like the excitement at the start of a race can really get the adrenaline flowing---which is natural.
If the rush of adrenaline is channelled positively then great results could be achieved by that particular individual----but it requires sincere and genuine cooperation from friends, wellwishers and relatives.
There should be a big 'no-no' to racial or parochial name-calling against adrenaline-rich persons, else the flow of adrenaline will be negative and could lead to disasterous consequences.
