North Korea
Can football bridge the gape between isolated North Korea and the rest of the world ? Jong Tae-Sae's uncontrolable sobbing as North Korean national anthem played ahead of its World Cup tie with Brazil left a touching sight and the world should read every drop of his tear, which might symbolise the tears of every North Korean.

Jharkhand
Jharkhand has been in political turmoil ever since it was carved out from Bihar on November 15, 2000, largely because of the politicians' divided opinions and personal ambitions, ignoring state's interests and making it the first state where development has been a virtual non-starter.
They should read and decipher the following lines written by a great political thinker.
"Dogmatism is an enemy to peace, and an insuperable barrier to democracy...(blatant lies and opportunism is the death nail for democracy too)...
"But so long as men are not trained to withhold judgement in the absense of evidence, they will be led astray by cocksure prophets, and it is likely that their leaders will be either ignorant fanatics or dishonest charlatans...
"....becomes divided into rival groups of fanatics, each group firmly persuaded that its own brand of nonsense is sacred truth, while the other side's is damnable heresy...
"Our confused and difficult world needs various things if it is to escape disaster, and among these one of the most necessary is that, in the nations which still uphold liberal beliefs, these beliefs should be wholehearted and profound, not apologetic towards dogmatisms of the right and of the left, but deeply persuaded of the value of liberty, scientific freedom, and mutual forbearance. For without these beliefs life on our politically divided but technically unified planet will hardly continue to be possible."

Journalist
Journalism is a noble profession, and enjoyable too. But surving in this profession is mightily difficult because the nature of many journalists -- who are pseudo intellecutals, particularly in Ranchi --- and such characters can build up a strong network among themselves and start browbeating, humiliate and hound real journalists.
How can a street singer become a journalist ?
There is no harm in becoming one as every one has a right to choose and leave one's profession as per his/her choice.
But those ex-street singers sometimes become a real hurdle in others' careers, and matters become anti-social, for the society will lose a real journalist and the street singer becomes the master of the fraternity. Such psuedo-journalist sows the seeds of disharmony in the society through his psuedo-intellectuality and notions which suit a section of pig-headed politicians.
This street singer, joined by some people with circus background become the real jokers, who gag the voice of the real journalists instead of making them humourous.

Sardar
Forward mail We all love Sardar jokes. But do you know that Sikhs are one of the hardest working prosperous and diversified communities in the world. |
My friend told me about the following incident which I wish to share with you.
It has had a deep impact on my thinking.
During last vacation, his few friends came to Delhi . They rented a taxi for local sight-seeing. The driver was an old Sardar and boys being boys, these pals began cracking Sardarji jokes, just to tease the old man. But to their surprise, the fellow remained unperturbed.
At the end of the sight-seeing, they paid the cab hire-charges. The Sardar returned the change, but he gave each one of them one rupee extra and said, ''Son, since morning you have been telling Sardarji jokes..
I listened to them all and let me tell you, some of them were in bad taste. Still, I don't mind coz I know that you are young blood and are yet to see the world..
But I have one request. I am giving you one rupee each. Give it to the first Sardar beggar that you come across in this or any other city.'
My friend continued,* ' That one rupee coin is still with me. I couldn't find a single Sardar begging anywhere.'
MORAL:
The secret behind their universal success, is their willingness to do any job with utmost dedication and pride. A Sardar will drive a truck or set up a roadside garage or a dhaba, put a fruit juice stall, take up small time carpentry, ... but he will never beg on the streets.

Time-3
"Clock is a machine of great moral value to man,
allaying his concern for the future by reminding
him what a lot of time remains to him.
For a long time it had seemed to me that life
was about to begin-real life.
But there was always some obstacle in the way,
something to be Gotten through first, some unfinished
business.
Time still to be served, or debt to be paid.
Then life would begin.
At last it dawned on me that these obstaacles were
my life."
"We all have our time machines.
Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams.
You may delay but time will not.

You can't keept it, but you can spend it.

But you cannot get more time.
"We are so obsessed with doing that we have
no time and no imagination left for being.
As a result,men are valued not for what they
are but for what they do or what they have-for
theri usefulness.

So the man yelled , 'God , speak to me' and the thunder rolled across the sky.

But the man did not see.
And , the man shouted , 'God show me a miracle.' And , a life was born.
But , the man did not notice.
So , the man cried out in despair , 'Touch me God , and let me know you are here.' Whereupon , God reached down and touched the man. But , the man brushed the butterfly away .

Your hunger should be motivation for your success;
Your desire should be fodder for your growth;
Your impulse should be incentive for your aim;
Your persuation should be your provocation;
Your reason should be your push for work;
Your urge for knowledge should be your stiumulous.
These are the words which give comfort in unruly areas. There is nothing like putting one’s emotions in words. Enjoy how words rushing through your pen to help you out from this present state of turmoil that has been afflicting the society.
Still, you should work for the country with a nationalistic feeling and thinking at the same time for universal brotherhood.
Don’t afraid of people who don’t know their existence, but only know how to look for food----which even a bug, bird and beast do.
People take false pride in singing paeans of Lal, Bal, Pal and Gandhiji. In reality, they are cashing in on the images of these great patriots.
One can't but feel ashamed, pity and angry at those who don’t know how to lead the people...as this his world is not for sensible people, who, anyway, have taken a back seat, leaving people like .... ..... ........ , who have left things in a mess.
